Just saw the notice by chance; if it's still a possibility, I'd be interested. I live in Colo Springs but get to Denver regularly. One more trip wouldn't be a problem.

I'll be in Denver - Englewood in Sept if anything is happening? 9th 10th 11th. Or is there is any venue worth pursuing.

I'd be interested if it could be held on a weekend. I'm too far away to do it on a week night. Maybe we could meet near Park Meadows Mall. Then, we could do "field trips" to the Paradise Pen store there. <img src="https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lticaptd.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ltcapd:" border="0" alt="lticaptd.gif" />

I work with Paradise Pen and we would be interested in coordinating with you on developing the club and providing a place for meetings. Let me know if you are interested and we can talk more.

I'm in Westminster, work in Lakewood, and I'd love it if we had a local pen group :)

I work in downtown Denver and live south. Park Meadows works great for me, I just purchased my first fountain pen there from Paradise Pens (Cross Century II). It would be the perfect excuse to get the converter (they were out) and a bottle or two of ink. Looks like this has dragged on for some time, but if anyone is interested in actually setting a date and time I'd do my best to make it.

I hate to necro a thread but I'm just starting into FPs and I'd really like this to happen. It would seem there's no shortage of people, just a lack of organisation...are people still interested in this?

I'm in Louisville, by the way, but am fluent with the bus system so I can make my way just about anywhere.

If this thread is still alive, yes, I would definitely be interested.

Centennial area half way between Southglenn and Park Meadows, although location isn't too important.

Park Meadows would be my vote-Paradise Pens and plenty of seating areas. Maybe instead of continuing the vague 'we should do this sometime', we need to just set a date and who can come, comes. And hopefully that would build into more regular meetings. Course the weather can be tricky this time of year. Maybe early afternoon the last Sat of Jan?

I'm in, although Saturday afternoons aren't great unless it's 3:30 or later. That's for me to work out.

The other possibility is a Meetup Group. I checked and didn't find one in this area, although there is one other person who lists him/herself as a pen collector.

I certainly wasn't trying to dictate a time, it just seemed like more progress would be made if we discussed 'when' not 'if.' As someone who lives out of Denver, I would prefer the weekend and sometime in the, say, 11-6 range.

I agree with you about the "when, not if" part. For a first meeting I'll be there; everything else can wait. The important bit is to get a few people who want to attend and work it out from there. You mentioned the last Saturday in January, which makes it the 29th. That sounds good.

Pick a time and a spot and I'll meet you there. I'll also start sending emails to the other people that have posted on this thread to see if they would be interested in joining us.

3.30 is fine with me if that works for you/everyone else.

I just did some googling, and Meininger Art Supply sounds like someplace I need to visit. I guess it is old news for most, but I don't go to Denver to shop much. So I vote for there or PP in Park Meadows.

I vote Paradise. For browsers they have a better selection if only because they carry more lines. Plus they are mainly "pen people". The folks I've dealt with are knowledgeable and are happy to dip so you can try almost anything. The shop at Park Meadows is on the west end, second floor. Unless we get a throng there is ample seating in the mall for chatting and enjoying a coffee or tea.

There is another pen dealer that you may want to check out: Guiry's. They are mainly decorating supplies and art supplies, but they have a "fine pens" department. Adequate selection of a few lines plus lots of inks. I usually go there for pencils and rollerball refills. They are on Colorado Blvd less than 1/2 mile south of I-25, west side of the street.

Let me know if you're agreeable to Paradise and I'll start sending emails.

Ooh, I might be popping by, depending on my work schedule!

Help out a poor college student! ^-^' INK SAMPLE CLEARANCE! - Parker Penman Sapphire samples, Palomino Blackwing, Palomino Blackwing 602, and empty vials available.

Will do my best to rearrange my January 29th schedule so I can attend :) Are we all planning to bring a selection of pens to show off?

This is starting to shape up. In addition to Tamara who will attend if she can, Ribbit, and myself we have three who will and two who are unable. I hope everyone brings ideas as to where this can go next.

I'm planning on a little show and tell myself, bringing a couple favorites plus maybe a dark horse.

I look forward to meeting every.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
