Will A Carene Rollerball Cap Work On A Carene Fountain Pen?

I bought a Carene black GT barrel from Dutchpen to use with an extra nib and section as a desk pen. I'll have to try out some bases I have. I was wondering if the cap from a Carene rollerball will work on this pen. I am not sure the internal cap will work with a fountain pen. Ideas? Thanks for your consideration.

Thanks. That's what I thought. So, a desk pen it is.

The barrel came. I fitted a fine nib unit and put it into a Sheaffer desk stand for a black Sheaffer Imperial inlaid nib Touchdown desk pen. The Carene works perfectly like this and does not dry out, unlike the original Imperial Touchdown pen, which had always gone dry quickly.

 

I like the Carene better without the cap.
