I am venturing into the oblique calligraphy pen arena.....any recommendations on nibs to get started?with? I've never used one, but they look like fun.

So space and time are linked together. As we are looking across space, we are looking back in time. The further and further away those stars are the further back in time you are looking. Thank you. This was done with a Lamy calligraphy pen 1.5. I've got a new montblanc (90th anniversity) that is a real treat to write with as well.

 

It's amazing how you can get people's attention with a hand written note. Especially if they can read it!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
