Posting to keep an eye on this. Those did go swiftly!

Might this next shipment have that red (with the Charlie pen) you were teasing us with? :)

Next time I won't wait!

So space and time are linked together. As we are looking across space, we are looking back in time. The further and further away those stars are the further back in time you are looking. Now you are seeing a star that is say six thousand years ago. Imagine somebody at that star looking at us They would be seeing us as we were six thousand years ago. Which of those two is now? - Alan Parsons Project The Time Machine - Temporalia (Paraphrased)

Sorry, all, I am having a bad case of the flu right now, so I have not been able to follow up yet, otherwise I would have. I hope I will feel well enough the upcoming week :).

Augh, me too - I was waiting until the finances recovered, and darn! So I'll keep an eye out for the announcement they're back.

  • 4 weeks later...

I'm new to the world of fountain pens, but not new to gorgeous inks and blue-black inks are my favorites. Definitely going to keep an eye out for when Starry Night is back.

At this point, I'm almost *hoping* that there will be a delay. I've had some really high unexpected expenses recently (like the grand dropped on the brake job on one of the cars  -- on top of having to have the undercarriage replaced on that same vehicle (low center of gravity + frost heave of the driveway over the past horrible winter = $$$$$. :wallbash:

Plus sooner or later we'll get the bill for the school taxes. Which is worse than the county and local property taxes combined.... :gaah: Add to that the regular monthly bills, including two sets of car payments, groceries, gas for said vehicles, state inspections (this month), and scheduled or semi-scheduled trips out of town. etc.

Oh and we haven't reserved space for our campsite for the "real" vacation (which hasn't actually been a vacation for me for about 15 years at this point...). And another fairly long (probable -- unless we're so wiped by the end we have to stop somewhere on the way home...) day trip on top of everything else coming up -- which we ALSO haven't paid for.... :headsmack:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
