Unidentified Parker Fountain Pen

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, today i have a pen that i can't identify

i swear i have tried everything i can, fountain pen database, looked at Parker catalogs

(oh yeah 1 thing i am sure about is that its Parker).

i uploaded some pictures of the pen in question.

bought it pen from and old Asian men for 50 USD

have found some similar looking ones, but they don't look exactly alike

the picture have to be re-sized because the original pictures are too big

don't know if you can see but it says "Parker" and"made in France" on the cap

and says Parker something something USA on the nib (the words are too small, i can't read it)

and that's pretty much all i know about this pen

can someone kindly identify this pen for me?

i would like to check out it's value, put a converter in it, and potentially get it fixed, it leaks alot

thank you very much for your patience

Very unlikely.

If it is gold the body and cap will be hallmarked and proof-marked showing the purity (9K/375, 14k/585, 18k/750) but more likely will be gold plated.

Congrats on the great find. Enjoy your P75. Yours is in a very good condition too and $50 is a great price. Any Parker converter will fit.

I think the pen is "75 GODRON" version/model which came only in 18k solid gold and not plated. Well , that is my understang . Correct me if in case I am wrong .

Anyhow , you are right that the pen ,if gold, should be hallmarked as such.

The Godrom was available in:

Silverplate over brass
Goldplate over brass
Sterling silver, introduced in 1980
Solid 18K gold Presidential, very rare

Looking at the pictures, Mister_Blake, your pen would seem to be the Goldplate over brass version. If it is the 18K version it will be marked as such and you can book up that special holiday that you always wanted.

ok i will go to the parker store and figure out what variation of the Godrom is, i need a new nib anyways

but i will say that there is some green rust on the inside of the pen itself, so i would bet on it being the goldplate over brass

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
