No idea why the link says "two-pack" ... they very clearly spell out which four pens you're getting:

Included

  • 4 x Calligraphy pens (1.5 mm, 2.4 mm, 3.8 mm, 6.0 mm)
  • 4 x Black cartridges
  • 4 x Red cartridges
  • 4 x CON-20 style converter
  • 4 x Nib plate cleaner

Edit:

Or ... Amazon prime for the impatient for $30 : http://www.amazon.com/Pilot-Parallel-Calligraphy-Cartridge-P9005SET/dp/B004O7FYHY/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

I think it is an artifact of the previous drop and some sloppy linking :(

But yeah, caveat emptor and huzzah for the 4 pack :)

MD is hittin' the Pilots hard (in a good way). The Metropolitan 2 pack, the Varsity assortment 2 pack, and now the Parallel 4 pack. Decisions, decisions . . .

KEEP CALM AND BOOGIE ON!

SILENCE IS GOLDEN, BUT DUCT TAPE IS SILVER.

I was just about to post this! Good catch! :) I'm debating buying them... Would you guys say the pilot parallel works similarly to a stub nib? Aside from the ability to write on its side as a regular pen?

These are very sharp nibs, nowhere near to the forgiveness of stubs. But ... they will also give you extreme line variation.

I jumped on this drop last time around - money well spent IMHO!

The main difference between the Parallels and a stub nib (in terms of writing experience) is the shape of the writing interface - a "stub" normally has rounded corners, so that the pen is more 'forgiving' if you don't hold it precisely. The Parallels are like a "crisp italic" - you need to hold the pen carefully, with the whole writing surface touching the page. Much less forgiving - but much better line variation as a result. Oh, and you'd be very hard pressed to find a 2.4mm stub nib, let alone a 6.0mm!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
