Yesss ... !
Managed to do this ...
The silk fabric ...
I crafted two variants becos I wanted to see the colour combination .
I chose red based hues.
One magenta and the other a deep red.
both are in A6 size
The fabric is beautiful
Genuine handwoven silk from Hoi An, Vietnam .
Handwoven , Strand by strand, complete with handcraft imperfections.
Its hard to take pictures becos at different angles, you see a different thing altogether.
Here completed ...
Journal 202 Handwoven Silk - Peonies
This one's for the Missus ...
At a slightly different angle of view
I used GEMATEX Bookcloth - Dark Purple for the corner accents.
And the bookcloth accents are flushed at the same level on the surface.
This one is perfectly flushed ...
Another angle where you see mostly all red ..
I decided on magenta threads
Ribbon marker too
A six station design
even though it was not TR paper.
I just felt the six station design is more attractive aesthetically...
Matching ribbon pagemarker
I chose olive drab flyleaves
To balance out the strong hues
This is heavy paper at 170g, textured
The six station stitching
Quite hard to see ....
Writing paper is
MELLOTEX , Natural White , 100g , Smooth
7 Signatures, 5 Folios each
