Unusual. I don't think the 142 'transitioned' into a newer model (afaik)? So this may be the last of the 142s?

I wasn't suggesting it wasn't legit by the way! And I would call it transitional in that it mutated into the 12 (the barrel/piston is identical), and the 144 mutated into the 14.

lovely pens but unfortunately almost impossible to find one without cap cracks due to wrong construction and material selection.

 

In my opinion the transitional 142 is more rare compared to the transitional 144.
