Will Anyone Let Me Use Their Fountain Pen Pictures On My Writing Craft Site?

Friends, I have been doing Great Writers Steal, a writing craft site, for over two years now. I've spent way too much time telling other writers what they can learn from all kinds of creative works. (I got the name from the oldest writing advice around: good writers borrow, great writers steal.)

Want to visit? It's at www.greatwriterssteal.com.

I would like to write an essay about my experience with fountain pens and how I think using one affects the writing process. I would like to include pictures (obviously) and offer writers some information about the basics with regard to how they can dip their toes in the fountain pen world. (Perhaps more than one essay.)

I don't have a digital camera and couldn't do as good a job as so many of my FPN friends, anyway. Is anyone willing to let me use their images? I wouldn't want to do so without permission; my site is about the good kind of creative theft, not the bad kind. I'm pretty open about the images I would include, though I know I want to include a Parker "51," as I love those. I would love to show my audience of writers some "entry-level" pens as well as some of the incredibly beautiful pens that I'll never own.

Is anyone willing to let me use their pictures? I'm happy to include attribution and a link of some kind if you have one.

I'm pretty open about the pens I'll put into my eventual essay; I just want to show my fellow writers some of the possibilities that can be found in fountain pens. Is that Parker "51" picture yours? It's really good!

I'm sure you've uploaded some great pictures! When I'm a little more ready to write my piece, I'll dig through your FPN posts for a look. Thank you!

Yeah, of course it's mine. Otherwise I wouldn't have offered it to you.

Have a look at my flickr account here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/30169694@N08/sets/

All these pictures are public and can be used if the source is clearly declared. Lots of people are using my pics on their websites. Just mention me (Christof FPN or C.M.Z. from flickr) as owner and creator of the pics. thank you.

ps: send me link when it's done, I'd love to read your essay.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
