Ah, I didn't see those posts. I had seen sad posts some months ago that he was no longer on ebay, but not anything more recently.

Hmmm, perhaps a way of selling of stock with higher chances of a good price than on a liquidation sale? I had the impression prices on the Conway Stewart auction were low... but maybe that's just an impression..

Yes, I thought that. If he is using a 1/2 day courier with insurance on an expensive pen maybe it is the going rate. I know from the UK to France can be very expensive. Unless he is hand delivering it.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
