The letterhead is my design for a fictitious secret society of elite fountain pen illuminati called:

I decided to go crazy for InCoWriMo this year :D

WOW I love it! Can I join?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Edit: In the last picture, I wrote in a different ink. Diamine Turquoise~ :) Written on Double A paper which I HIGHLY recommend. It's 10 dollars a ream at Office Depot and handles fountain pens very well!

Thank you!

Mine is also tiny! Luckily, when it's capped it is a decent size. @_@

I think my only real qualm is the tiny amount of ink they hold.

Yes, tiny amount of ink and a No.1 size nib is teeny tiny!

I love your interpretaton of "The quick brown fox..." - Your version is much better, and the setting is a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Lovely Sailor Pro. Gear and vintage Wahl, I love your handwriting! Today I will be using this sweet Pelikan M400 brown tortoise pen, which I just got in the mail. Now I just have to sell a few pens, but this has been a long time in the waiting, so I am really psyched!!! And the 'medium' nib is not too wide for my writing, thank god!

What is an Architect regrind?

AFAIK it is similar to an Arab nib. It is an italic nib, but with a vertical in stead of horizontal orientation., so | instead of __ .

So the down stroke is thinner than the cross stroke. Interesting.

Is that like a Zoom nib?

I think a Zoom nib has varying line widths depending on what angle the nib is held at.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
