Many of the German '50-60's fountain pen companies made a medium-small pen like a Pelikan 140 or Geha 760, Osmia, and Kaweco also. It was a popular size back then.

They fit the modern short pocket well.

 

A Standard sized pen is good for a shirt pocket too. 400 or an Esterbrook.

 

There are now some Kaweco Sport sized fountain pens now. You'd have to find one with a clip though. In those are pants pocket pens.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

 

 

The cheapest lessons are from those who learned expensive lessons. Ignorance is best for learning expensive lessons.

It is indeed a nice looking pen.

 

Brass made, so I suppose sturdy enough for the pocket.

I worry about that threaded back-end, though. That might cut holes in your pocket!.

A looker - but no clip? It would roll off the table or hide in itself somewhere in my bag instead of sitting safely in my pocket...

That is rather nice. I like the metal body for a pocket application and I like the screw on design. As a pocket pen, it is missing a ring, so I cannot attach it to my watch chain.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
