New "minimalistica" Bulk Filler In The Pipeline !

Recommended Posts

Hello fountain pen friends!

Please find attached 3 pictures of the new "Minimalistica" Bulk filler prototypes.

The pen is made of black POM (delrin) and can accommodate 2 ml of ink.

That bulk filler logo - transversely in the cap - prevents rolling of the pen on the table.

The "Minimalistica" being the "starter model" of the bulk filler range , with a price of around 280-300 €, stainless BOCK size 6 nib unit included

A more expensive "Minimalistica plus" model - with titanium clip - is also possible.

Note the design was generated in cooperation with a famous Swiss architect.

Final dimensions will be somewhat larger as shown, about the size of a Pelikan 600.

CONID should be able to offer these versions beginning February 2015

Francis

Sir, that is a really nice looking pen - I see what you mean re minimalism. Please may I ask if the cap is screw or interference fit? Can't see any threads on the images. Great looking and elegant.

Hi Roger,

Thanks for your kind reaction !

The cap/body enclosure occurs using a radial O ring which sits in a groove 10mm deep in the conical cap entry bore.

We tested this enclosure approach thoroughly with convincing results.

What a lovely pen! I don't know why, but I find it more gorgeous than all the beautiful coloured pens out there. Maybe it's the minimalistic design, but it's simply charming.

Did you use this pen to write on the pages underneath it? If yes, then gosh - that would be a wonderful pen!!! Both beautiful nd writes like a dream!

I hope there's a nib choice for such wonderful italic. I am starting saving for it this very moment!

Uh, oh. M600 sized and a huge ink capacity? I am looking forward to seeing the production photos and a couple of reviews.

Another winner, Francis.

On the plus version, consider doing the filler ring (I see a black separate ring there) in titanium as well, for the visual balance.

Another well designed pen on the market

A pen that has it all

Relative affordable

Reliable filling system

Great tactile feeling of the Delrin polymer

Design reminds me somehow to bauhaus period

Very nice. Some already mentioned these being reminiscent of the Bauhaus style - well put. My initial thought was "Lamy 2000 -like" but Bauhaus puts it better.

Looking at the clipless pen and the bulkfiller logo, is the logo changing / has it been changed? On the Conid website, the other pens have a simple circle cut in half back/white, in these pictures the design is different.

The logo was indeed changed, the older version - a circle cut half in black-white - will gradually be replaced by the new "anchoring logo"

In fact the new logo - with the black/white engaging teeth - symbolizes the anchoring of the piston with there barrel enclosure nut after the pen is filled.

Hope this clarifies the logo issue.

Love that design - and it's a little cheaper for folks who want to venture into a Conid design. Glad you're offering that Francis. I'll be saving my Canadian skins.

Thanks for the explanation! I like the new logo and what it signifies. Is the new logo going to be on the other models as well - already now or some time in the future?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
