Bexley Simplicity Collection Question

I've order a NOS Bexley Simplicity Collection in translucent blue. Now I've discover the Simplicity collection doesn't take long standard int. cartridges. Can anybody confirm or not ?

Thank you,

Nick

Based on the long supplied converter shown in this review. Good chance it'll be able to handle a long international cartridge.

The same longer converter is shown in a version 1

Here's a pic of several converters next to a long international. The ones pictured are most likely the same as #3 (#2 is threaded for monteverde pens)

#3 is also the same Schmidt converter you can get from Goulet Pens for $5.

Thank you Karl.

I have to wait and see...

On Hari's review he said he tried a long Waterman cartridge and didn't fit into the barrel: https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/79730-bexley-simplicity/

Also on the Bexley's Simplicity Prototype is mentioned that only short cartridges will fit...

No, the long cartridge won't fit. The diameter of the piston knob is smaller than the cartridge, allowing it to fit inside the end cap. The K-5 Schmidt convertor is required in the Simplicity and Simplicity II.

Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?" Patrick Henry

I receive the pen last week and here's an update.

The pen is gorgeous, came with classic box and converter. It arrive from US to Channel Island, UK in 9 days!!! That is amazing!

Anyway, in my quest I found out that long cartridges will not fit being to wide at the end where the barrel is screw with blind cap. So the classic converter that came with the pen will stay there!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
