Looks nice.

And WOW, a Giraffe pen. 6 ml of ink... you could write almost a whole book on that...

If Conid ever comes out with a Giraffe that has a barrel I like (I don't much care for the "demonstrator" clear barrel, just personal taste), I'll give it a try. ;)

The homepage cutaway is great, really grabs the attention! I'm going to enjoy having a rootle around.

ps - the link to the Jean B. review is broken (could not locate remote server). It's http://forum.styloplume.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4691. http://www.stylo-plume.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4691 works.

This website is so much nicer than the old one. Well done. is there a colour option rather than all black or clear barrel? I have to say the ebonite in a different colour would be very tempting for me.7 :)

Well done.

Nice upgrade and additions.

Thank you all for your encouraging comments !

@ sevenof9 :

Conid will surely launch the Kingsize in other SEM Ebonite materials in the future, both striated and marbled.

Keep an eye on the Conid website !

Hi,

The new site is very impressive, as are your pens.

I look forward to the Minimalistica when it come to market.

Out of curiosity (or too much coffee), is CMC also used to shape the nib tips? Or is nib work done by hand?

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for your reaction, and glad reading you like the new web site set-up !

Nib grinding is done by hand, but we developed a special grinding tool which makes it much much easier - and most important - more precise and repetitive.

You can see the tooling on the "Making of the Kingsize LE In Flanders fields" film on the Conid website;

The new "Minimalistica" Bulk filler will become available early next year, so stay tuned !

Regards, Francis

Francis - that's a great upgrade - well done. Looking forward to another new pen in January. I just have to find a way to get around the extra customs. Maybe I'll just plan a visit.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
