Mb 2 Pen Siena Pouch Help

I am getting another pen today from the MB Boutique delivered and I wanted to buy the Siena 2 pen pouch. I found one on eBay and I know there is A LOT of fake items, but the guy has perfect feedback and very high end expensive items he has sold. Does this look legit / authentic?

hcd615,

It does look correct to me as well. I own this case as well. Honestly, I am sorry that I purchased it. The Siena pen divider does not extend along the entire pocket and you do run the potential of the pens knocking together. If you are carrying MontBlanc pens, you definitely don't want them to hit each other. There are a lot of other leather pen cases that frankly are much cheaper and the divider runs the length of the case. Franklin-Christoph makes a great line of leather pen cases that sell for a fraction of the cost and do a much better job of protecting your pens.

I have the 1-pen Siena case and from the looks of it, it's authentic...congrats on your purchase!

Maybe it will help if I put the pens in and slide the clip over the leather facing out so the pens stay in place and don't bang around. I will try that. Thanks for all your help guys!!

Mine does because I extended it myself. I also did the same thing to my cigar shaped single mock croc case, and 2 pen version

For me, i'd never place the clip over on the outside where the clip-end groove is, fearing that over time, I might leave marks on the case by removing and slotting it back.

You mean leave a mark on the leather? I don't care about that....

I would never do that either. It might not even stop the pens touching each other below the central divider

Yeah that's right, I just slot the whole pen in directly.

Good job in getting a case. You took the best step in protecting your pens by purchasing a pen case to keep them in when not in use. That in and of itself probably dropped your chances of damaging your pens by at least 50%.

The lack of a full length dividers in pen cases, including the MB Sienna case has been the topic of previous threads. One solution is to make a pen sock out of soft material (dollar store acrylic scarf) to line the case. That provides more protection than even a full length divider would. Instructions have been posted.

I love the Sienna pen pouch and own all three types.

The two-pen pouch is my favourite.

These pouches are sturdy and they hold up to regular use and wear really well.

I found the link for the instructions on how to make the 'pen sock'. Hope it is okay to reference:

It also depends on what kind of pens you're going to use it with. Two 149s fit very snugly; I doubt they can bang against each other.

You may have this problem with 146s or Classiques (unless you clip them, that is), but two 149s seem safe to me whether clipped or not.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
