149 and M 1000: both are special. But in a different way Special, maybe because the nib of the M 1000 is more semi-flex. On the other hand the nib of the M 1000 (same size of the nib) offers more line variations.

It like the 149 is too too big for me.

I grew up in Standard&medium-large days back in the silver dime days.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

 

 

The cheapest lessons are from those who learned expensive lessons. Ignorance is best for learning expensive lessons.

The mistake is in the last sentence: please replace by reading M 1000 by 149

Here the correct sentence: On the ohter hand the nib of the 149 offers more line variations.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
