I got these barrels with some other pens including snorkels. What is this model with a sliding plunger called ? Thanks.

Called many things. That filling system was called a Touchdown system. Models include the Snorkels, TMs, TD, Triumphs, Imperials, Legacy and Legacy 2.

I've called them a few other names . . . Not helpful, I know. Sorry. I just have not mastered the restoration of such pens and it gets to me ever once in a while. Great luck with yours.

The green one will be for an open-point pen; TD Admiral or Craftsman.

 

The other will shed its silver trim ring if you don't keep a close watch on it. Its a thing they do.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
