Good Price On Lamy Nibs

Hunting for some nibs to use with my Lamy pens to do some cursive-esque Christmas notes, etc. I found a link in another post here to "The Writing Desk" in the UK. I already have 2 Bold and a 1.5 nib. I planned on using the 1.5 mm for the main bit on the card/note face and wanted a 1.1 mm for the letter text on the inside. After squirling around for a bit I ended up with a 2-bit order: the 1.1 Stub and a Fine. The Fine was on sale for half price, so I really HAD to get it! Anyway, the two nibs and standard shipping from the UK to the Western USA was $13.39 USD. I usually see nibs going for about $15 plus shipping here in the USA so I thought this worth sharing.

That is a good price! Like you said $15 is the more normal price for a Lamy nib.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
