Twsbi Pp019 And Pp025

Forgive me if there already is a topic on this, i did a search and could not find any. I found it a little weird that there was no discussion on the recent update from TWSBI.

On their Facebook page they came with some new pictures of the PP019 wood version, which they say is the same as the PP025 PMMA version. Furthermore they say it has a similar styling as the Micarta, except a little bigger and both pens would have a piston filler. I love the Micarta and i must admit i find these new pens interesting. The wooden version i think would be hard to resist if/when it is released.

Not too soon, that's for sure...

According to our local TWSBI dealer, the new offerings that are coming up from TWSBI would be the 580 Colours, Vac Mini and TWSBI Eco...

So those models, would probably turn up next year at the earliest.

Oh well, we have to wait then! Good things are worth waiting for!

A sincere man am I
From the land where palm trees grow,
And I want before I die
My soul's verses to bestow.

All those moments will be lost in time.
Like tears in rain.
Time to die.

TWSBI first talked about making a fountain pen out of wood in March of this year. I have been waiting ever since and expect I will be waiting for another year or so before they actually produce the pen. I hope the wait will be worth it and look forward to finding out what woods they actually decide to use.

I am rather intrigued by the acrylic (PMMA) pen prototypes as well; another long wait, I am sure, but I will be watching for these as well.

Very cool that both of these models will have piston filling systems like most of TWSBI's fountain pens - at least, that is what they plan to use at this point in the design process. I really like my Micarta v.2 but the C/C filling system was a bit of a disappointment.

I'll be buying a wooden TWSBI when it comes out. I regret not going for the TWSBI Micarta when it was still available.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
