"stealth" And "gold Plated Furniture" Standard Bulk Filler

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Attached the pictures of both the "Stealth" bulk filler- featuring chemical blackened titanium furniture, and the version with "gold plated furniture".

It took Conid a lot of time and efforts to localize a company which could do this kind of coatings on titanium !

When interested, please contact : werner@conid.be for details.

Francis

Francis, what is the base material for the clips and rings for the GP version? Ti or some alloy like Brass?

In case you wish to write to me, pls use ONLY email by clicking here. I do not check PMs. Thank you.

I personally like the stealth version very much!

I had the occasion to see this very pen at the Tilburg penshow. This pen is very stylish and gives a modern look

On the other hand , the GP one , I like the coating , but the combi with the black glossy appearance is not my favourite

I was explained at the tilburg show , how this very clip is made.A clip without compromise for sure.

Cut from a whole piece of Ti, with concave form on the inner side, to ensure the mechanical strength in heavy use.

Quality is in the details itself

To add to that: The clip is not cut from a sheet and then bend, but cut 3 dimensionally on a lathe from a solid rod of Titanium.

Hello Francis,

Will these also become available for the oversize Bulkfillers?

Could be done, but one needs a minimum series of 20 identical pieces to get started

Only one German specialist was able do do this job perfectly.

Making a hard wear resistant black or gold coating on titanium proved to be rather expensive…..

Hello Francis,

The gold plating on the pics is matte, is glossy also an option?

One can surely shine-up the mat GP finish , but making it completely glossy is not possible.

So is the whole body titanium or just the accents? Is the feed ebonite? What size is the feed and nib, No. 6 or No. 5? What would the Pricing be, & what is the turnaround+shipping time for these pens? Very nice design though; I prefer the Gold Anodized.

Only the furnitures , being the clip, cap and body ring and the threaded barrel clutch are titanium

The screw-in nib units are the size 6 from Bock with plastic feed.

Would be VERY interested in a Stealth Bulkfiller Streamline version with the Delrin black material and a Ti nib. Any chance that is possible, or are they only doing it in the classic Flat Top style?

Take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly, and try another. But by all means, try something.

AFAIK at your choice. I have the one with rounded cap/endcap myself. Very nice pen. I have a steel nib made into an oblique italic by Francis. Yummy.

I also have a rounded model with a Ti nib and it is perhaps my favorite at this time. I suspect you're right seeing as it is really only the furniture that has been blackened and added to a body, but would like to hear for sure.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
