Reminds me of my old Ogiva demo, nice model

Just back from a trip to Rome, Italy for a nice autumn holiday...

Since last year when I had my honeymoon in Tuscany, I became interested in Italian pens. I now own a Delta Serena and a Delta Unica fountain pen. I was actually planning on getting a Dolce Vita during my trip to Rome last week.

However, the past year I have been reading about Omas and also looked at many of the mouth-watering pictures on the internet... I really love the style of Omas.

So when I say that this pen would be coming out, I decided to place an order with my dealer for the Ogiva Vintage LE in green with a fine 18k nib. It ticks all the boxes for a good fountain pen for me (slightly understated design, piston fill, gold nib, ebonite feed, demonstrator/ink view feature, etc etc.). And best of all of course, it's an Omas limited edition.

I'll be posting a review as soon as I have received it! For now, the waiting has begun...

The nice folks at Omas really know how to make gorgeous red and turquoise transparent resin pens! I wonder how close these are to the colors of the Omas 360 Vintage Red and Turquoise Demonstrator models.

GAHHHH! :gaah:

I can't for the life of me figure out which one I want...

Is the green one similar to the green demonstrator ogiva or a totally diff colour?

I think I am leaning towards the orange, but bright transparent colours are so hard to determine from AD photos....

(plus every photo I see of them these colours look so different lol!)

Did anyone buy the Alba yet? Would love to see the orange one.

Purple one ordered - excited!

Goulet pens have pics on their video blog in regular lighting as Bryant handles them. Might help you decide.

Anyone wanting to find this, it's about 34 mins in!

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

lol thanks! I saw it for the 2 sec. that it appeared and got excited lol!

Still not sure on what that orange looks like...

I think it can either look absolutely stunning or absolutely horrific...

hi all,

the Ogiva Alba are not sold out yet and I still have some pieces in stock in the 3 colors. They come in the following nib sizes:

18kt: EF,F,M,B,BB,STUB,ITALIC

14 kt. extraflex: EF,F,M

Comparig the pens with the pictures provided by Omas I can tell that the green is very close, the real purple is a very little bit darker and the real orange is a little lighter that the image.

I hope it helps your choice.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
