Vintage Aurora 88: I Like The Pen, But Not The Nib. Help Please.

I have been struggling with an Aurora 88 ('vintage') for some time now, but can't get on with its semi-flexible soft fine nib - I need a fine nail.

 

Perhaps you folks can help.

 

Can these nibs be swapped by the user?

Where would I buy one?

Has the nib a resale or exchange value?

 

It's a great pen, but I just can't deal with flexible nibs for everyday work.

I believe the user can. Contact paolo at zona900.it. He sells spare 88 nibs. He has firm fine ones.

i have a firm fine nib in an 88p that i dont care for, and would rather have a semi-flex soft fine nib......shall we talk?

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
