It also has a blue stripe up the clip. The underside of the clip is polished smooth, the nib is not steel. 18 K nib.

Bought it at a live auction.

Thanks Jar....I had such a deal €20 start bid....too good a deal, some dealer bid it up, then some woman sitting next to me, whose husband collected pens, (not a FPN member) jumped into the bidding war. I got it for €100.

 

Ever since I got a counterfiet I'd wanted a real Dupont. (even if I'm not into nails)

Jar, told me my first one was counterfiet, which I'd expected for a €35 Flea market buy. Hoped it was real...in it was such a fine fake.

 

The pen before that I "didn't" want was a MB146 with the sticker still on....starting bid of €150.....I expected the MB buyers/dealers to jump in...but gave it a try....got it for opening bid.

 

The 149 in box with ink, did not go for start bid of €350....also stickered. Much too large a pen fro me who grew up in Standard days, when a Medium-large pen like a P-51 was considered big.

That one should use the Parker standard cartridges and converters so early ST Dupont, Aurora and Parker as sources.
