I just realized I forgot to perform the water test. Oops. I'll upload an addendum tomorrow.

I just realized I forgot to perform the water test. Oops. I'll upload an addendum tomorrow.

 

It has surprisingly good water resistance, leaving clearly-legible grey lines behind.

Thank you for the great review. I love greens. GeoDuc has made me a fan of murky greens.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Finally took a picture of the water resistance test. As cybaea said, it has pretty good water resistance.

It would be interesting to see this ink next to a sample of Sailors Kingdom Note Tanna Japonensis. Looks like it has nice yellow undertones.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

I'd love to do that, but I've yet to acquire any Kingdom Note Inks. :(

Send me a PM with your mailing address and I will provide a wee bit of the Sailor ink for the comparison. It would be so much easier to get a bottle of this ink to have on hand when my Tanna Japonesis is no more.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
