I tired to reach CS by phone, but there is only an ansering machine.

Left two messages, but no call back.
Does anyone know, if they are on holidays or what happened?

Be aware that companies like CS are only very small in number of workers. I suspect they are not even there on every day of the week.

And there are several numbers to CS. I don't know which is correct.

I tried to reach them by phone 5 years ago to arrange a visit and had to call on 3 days. But the visit to their factory was very interesting....

You best can email their customer service, ms Kayleigh Care . Email should be in the pinned topics.

Since 5 weeks I am trying to contact CS for ordering some pens, no answers from Kayleigh and Mary. 10 days ago I used the contact form of the new CS website but I did not receive any answer ( as a retailer !). Don't know what is going on there. Any idea ?

Sorry, I don't know.

Sending messages to Mary Burke about CS will not help, as she no longer works for CS.

It's over folks. I've posted a new thread about this.

There may be some hope that a new owner will step in, but this is the second administration in the last 5 years, so it's not looking great. Any take over will result in big changes.

They are shut down for now. NO orders going out until further notice. We were waiting on pens and parts.

Very curious about the potential onoto cooperation.

One and a half week ago , my local retailer , I could hear this my very self , gave a call to CS offices to get informed about a delivery.

You know what : David Cooper took the phone in stead of Kayleigh Care as we would expect.Stranwe we thought.

To be followed

So why ask the question?

If Onoto has nothing to do with Conway Stewart why did David Cooper answer the phone when arran's dealer phoned Conway Stewart. Very strange.

It is interesting to see that neither David Cooper, nor Alistair Adams have any reference to CS now in their LinkedIn profile.

This while Alistair is the CEO since about 3 months, I believe...

The owner of Conway Stewart is someone called Alan Cheshire. I'm not sure what involvement Alistair has, but I'm not going to speculate on the whys and wherefores of the decision to call in the administrators. What I can confirm is that it wasn't Alistair's.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
