It has been my experience that when you deal with the AD's you have a shot at some pricing

flexibility. When dealing with the boutique itself there is none. Every little bit you can save helps

these days when dealing with higher ticket items. thanks Daniel

Fahrney's in DC has a website and they are an authorized dealer. Also, Chuck Edwards is the head of their service and reoajr department and he is so good with Montbkancs that Montblanc has adopted some of his techniques as their own.

Grace and Peace are already yours because God is the Creator of all of life and Jesus Christ the Redeemer of each and every life.

I like fountain pen hospital

In order to appreciate the sweet, you must truly taste the bitter....

Paradise Pen, Fountain Pen Hospital, Farney's Pens, and Pen Boutique. Any of these sites that have reduced prices cannot show them online. You will need to request an e-mail with a price quote and likely buy over the phone.

I keep thinking about selling some of my pens but all that happens is I keep acquiring more!

You're in Canada it appears and US authorized MB dealers may not be allowed to sell into Canada. If you want an AD look for one in Canada or buy through MB's website.

I've been very pleased with Appelboom. The service is great, and they ship worldwide.

I would add a +1 for Fountain Pen Hospital.

I bought two used pens from them, one had an issue with hard starts and skipping. Sent it back to them and it came back a wonderful writer.

They will also e-mail you the discounted prices of the items you are interested in, they also have a small catalog they can mail out to you.

I would do business with them again.

On the other hand I did have an unpleasant experience with Pen Boutique the last time I ordered from them due to whoever picked the order did not pay attention to selecting the correct items.

I didn't notice anything out of line on their site when I was on it on Friday. What's changed?

They have a discount coupon - there is a thread about it in "The Mall".

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
