Waterman Lever Internal Cleaning Method/requirement?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I have just purchased my first fountain pen. Not exactly of the same caliber as some I've seen on the forum, but still I want to make sure I take good care of it.

It's a lever-filler 1949 Crusader, and it works just fine.. however I'm not sure about the right way and/or requirement to clean it.

Hoping it's as simple as filling with water after use then flushing, but didn't want to screw it up if that's not what should be done

Thanks!

It is indeed, that simple. You should probably tilt it back and forth a little so the water gets into the tail end of the sac, but that's as advanced a technique as you need.
