Brick And Mortar Vintage Fountain Pen Shop

There is a shop around my corner here in Leyden, the Netherlands, that sells vintage goods, and they seem to focus on the 1920s/1930s. The shop restores their merchandise meticulously, and offers - among many other jaw-dropping period pieces such as watches, dresses, phones and clocks - a wonderful selection of vintage fountain pens. They have a website with an English-language section, which has a long page of fountain pens currently on offer. I stress that I have no affiliation to the shop; I just pass by their beautiful shop window every time I go into town.

 

But the thing is, the pens to me seem extremely overpriced. A fully restored Parker Big Red including paperwork and desk-accessories would be quite valuable I think, but 600 euros? Of course the fact that all the pens are in working condition and carry a guarantee (at least I assume they do) would be worth a premium, but still. Some look a little pricey, but they are all really nice looking on the outside. Hopefully they work as good as they look.
