Yes indeed it will! They have the same nib essentially, with the difference being in the material, the 400 has a gold nib and the 200 a stainless steel one.

From the land where palm trees grow,
And I want before I die
My soul's verses to bestow.

All those moments will be lost in time.
Like tears in rain.
Time to die.

Just be careful with the vintage nibs as the ebonite feeds are fragile and need to be handled with care.

Why not just screw it in?

My 400nn section and nib, 'flexi'/maxi-semi-flex OF fits my '90's 400, also 605. My 400n fits my 605.

Just be careful the cap on the 200 will fit a 400nn.

My 100n don't fit modern....'50-2014.

I can't screw it in as I got it nib only (assume the collar and feed had been damaged

Going to mount it into a modern section if it fits

Thanks

They will fit in a modern feed and collar. You can buy a replacement nib unit for m2xx pens from Richard binder, knock out the nib and replace with the 4xx nib. They definitely fit, I've done several. Good luck and be patient.

Vintage nib + modern feed & collar. I see where you're coming from now. I know that when you adapt a modern collar to a vintage feed and nib, there needs to be some modification to the collar as the inner diameter is just slightly smaller today than it was in the past. A careful boring with a rat tail file takes care of that. Just putting a nib on the modern setup though, I don't think that I would anticipate any issues.

Well my 605 nib was a semi-nail....the five 'true' regular flex 200 nibs that I trans-mailed were better. IMO makes more sense to put a 200 nib on the 600.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
