Any Updates On Noodler's Neposet Music Flex Nib Pens....?

To all,

Just wondering if anyone has heard any news regarding the release of Noodler's Neposet pen with flex music nib? I read discussion on earlier posts, but that was back in 2012. Hopefully we are closer to launch.

Any elucidation would be greatly appreciated.

I have one of the prototypes. My understanding is that the pen will appear somewhere in August of this year, though I'd have to do some searching to find a reference.

Chatted online with Anna at Gouletpens.com yesterday. She said the date has been pushed back several times and they are now looking at closer to November now. Sigh....

I got an email that Noodler's has shipped them out! I did a quick search and this is the first thread about them.

Hello All,

They will probably be released for sale next Friday, for International Fountain Pen Day. :)

Best regards,

Chris

I'm extremely excited and hope I'm able to snag one or two when they go on sale.

PHEW... I thought I missed the boat. I was tracking the websites in the air, and between getting off the plane, and then arriving at the hotel, the order suddenly went up but everything was sold out!

I was disappointed to not see the greenish grey with red that had been making the review rounds. Maybe later?

Noodler's posted on their Facebook page that the first shipment of the pens went out to retailers on the 31st (Oct.), so I'm guessing that it'll just be a matter of time until they're available at retailers like Goulet. Their Facebook page also had lots of nice pictures up which showed the pen's detail.

they are listed as being sold out at gouletpens. did they come in already and sell out or are they still waiting for these to come in?

Hello Everyone,

Like I said above, I think the dealers have these pens on hand, but they are holding them to be released for International Fountain Pen Day. This delay is also giving all of them time to take delivery, get them sorted and photographed, etc.

The Goulet's have a habit of receiving a prototype and putting it up on their site, but listing it as "Out of Stock," long before it is ever released. I went through this same thing with the Wild Ruby Lamy Studio. That pen has been listed on their site for a couple of months as "OOS" and Lamy just released it to the public last week. With the Goulets, (and perhaps some other sites), you have to take "OOS" with a grain of salt.

But fear not, you haven't missed anything - they haven't been released.... yet. :D

Best regards,

Chris

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
