Not yet! If I remember correctly, last year they arrived quite late. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

So, what's your point?

Maybe I'll just print FPN name = Abstract49 on a piece of tape and put it on my forehead!

You could start a fashion trend...but I like the way you think!!!

I plan to be there on Friday and maybe Saturday.

Lisa and I look forward to the trip every year. It's a long drive, but our reward is the outlet mall just before the hotel and all the great people we meet at the show. Perry, you bringing the vette this year? :)

Dallas was my first pen show, and I have not missed one since. There are not a lot of pens to buy in Mississippi so I get my pens at shows. I am looking forward to seeing my friends at the show.

I'm excited to see old pen friends and make new ones this year. As Perry said, I'll be letting some of my stash pens go this year and will have more than a few combos for sale this time. Drop by The Write Pen table and test drive some pens, flex, sets, and more. If you have sick pens, we'll get them back to feeling (writing) well again.

Regards,

Brian, as of right now the Dallas trip will be the Vette's first big road trip!

The hotel has a great restaurant in it. We could do a dinner meet up?

There is also a Saltgrass Steakhouse across the street from the hotel, before the LBJ Freeway.

I'll be there selling some vintage Italian pens as well as some of my other stuff. Had a great time in Dallas a few years ago, looking forward to the return!

I am going to try to drive up from Waco on Saturday, if I'm not overwhelmed with house/garden projects. I've missed the last three, and I hate that.

There will be a small Sunday portion of the show this year. One room will be open - the front room. This is quite a large step for the Dallas SHow- Susie wore them down...

I think we all should take it a step further and print out FPN name and Avatar and wear them as Name tags. Of course, Don, Perry, and Danny are excused from this as their photos ARE their Avatars!

I look forward to meeting everyone as well. I'm 5 minutes from the hotel so whatever time and place (if we get together as a group) I'll be there.

It's always a great show!

Clayton is showing up??!! Cool!!!

This is going to be such a great event this year (always was in the past!) as we will get to meet our other geek bretheran face to face, not just on our Google Boxes!!! :P

Wow! I don't know if that's good news or bad news. :)

Hmmmm. Could be both, lol.

Less dealing on Saturday because there is still Sunday?

Slower to get there as there is still Sunday and miss things??

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
