You're not looking hard enough apparently, iSellPen isn't the only retailer out there, GouletPens, Pens N' More, etc has plenty, oh and eBay stores, etc.

:P

Hrm, I wonder why. Did he blog about it being dropped?

Just did a quick search. Lamy still has pens. I just always cater to retailers that treated me well. Hence why I only looked at his page, at first.

GouletPens would treat you VERY well if you need a new source of Lamy. :P

I never saw an explanation, but know that he made an announcement in Market Watch (I think) that he wouldn't be selling Lamy pens anymore and he had a huge - and very good - sale on the spare Lamy Safari spare nibs.... It's too bad - not only great service from Todd, but he had some of the best prices on the Safari's and usually threw in a free Z24 converter, too. (Goulet Pens is great, too, but the converters are always extra!)

I don't know where they are from, but the Goulet's currently live and work in Virginia. :P Here is a link for you: Goulet Pens

+1 for Goulet's service and overall business-sense!

No relation just a very satisfied customer!

They have a useful youtube channel too, with vids telling you how to swap pen nibs and about the pens which they're selling.

I probably have over 14 bookmarks from them from each of the orders. And their weekly Q&A videos are cool (can ask your question on facebook or youtube, and I think twitter). They're very involved in the social media scene, and Rachel Goulet (Brian's wife) frequents Reddit's /r/fountainpens/

And oddly some people still don't know about the Nib Nook allowing you to compare write samples between I think every pen/nib they sell: http://www.gouletpens.com/Nib_Nook_s/1114.htm

Lamy changed US distributors some time earlier this year - no longer handled by Filofax. I don't remember who the new one is, but they're having trouble getting their act together according to one dealer I talked to.

Good thing this topic wasn`t supposed to make people believe that Lamy is at the end of the line, thus leading to the doubling of prices for Lamy products.

You know what they say: frighten fountain pen enthusiasts, and they would do anything !

Given the fairly frequent quality problems with Lamy nibs, a distributor without its act together could be a real problem for exchanges.

No, Lamy did not quit making pens. As far as I can tell they're making more different models than ever.

While people are touting their favorite dealers, I'm gonna put in a plug for JetPens. Good prices, LOTS of pens and accessories of all brands, including Lamy, and great service. Their website is at (drumroll please)...

Goulet is good to buy from, but Anderson Pens is also a good merchant. Goulet Pen Co. gets so much free publicity on the forum (Don't get me wrong - They have always treated me right), but I don't want to leave other quality merchants out in the cold. http://www.andersonpens.net/default.asp

Franklin-Christoph, Italix, and Pilot pens are the best!
Iroshizuku, Diamine, and Waterman inks are my favorites!

Apica, Rhodia, and Clairefontaine make great paper!

I have made two orders from Goulet..both Lamy products. EXCEPTIONAL customer service. Superior. you won't find better. And talk about fast shipping....wow. I love them!

i have also purchased from Jetpens.com, who also has excellent service and fast shipping. Jetpens tends to be a few dollars cheaper, and offers free shipping on orders over $25, but Goulet often has items jetpens does not and vice versa.

They're both excellent in my opinion.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
