Hi,

I've earned two used Meisterstuck Montblanc Ballpoint Pen and I was wondering if there is any way to find out the model because I would like to buy a rollerball refill for it.

It does have serial number but I don't have the box.

Thank you all.

Those are not real fountain pens - some evil minded people have given you ball point pens... Poor guy!

It happened to me once, and I just could not figure out how to get the ink from the bottle and into the ball point pen, so I gave it up.

I know they're ballpoint thank you Ursus!

Thank you so much Logantrky!! Its my first time on this forum and I must say I find it very interesting, I had no clue there we so many beautiful pens.

I will be buying:

ballpoint pen hommage a W.A. Mozart Refills and
Ballpoint Pen Refil (F) Mystery Black

Those should fit, right Logantrky?

Kind regards,

I havent seen the Mozart before, it looks really nice. I have the LeGrand and the Classique which both share the same refill. From what I can see in the shops that I use, is the Mozart would seem to be a different size refill?

Hope you enjoy your pens, they are beautiful

MB ball points are fantastic and look great. I cherish my BP MB and I keep it in a special box wrapped in a micro fibre! yes I baby it.

Let's agree to disagree - RIVA

I dont keep it in the montblanc box I care just about the pen like you I keep it in a non-montblanc thinner box which I place in my bag so it doesnt become scratched or tarnished! the original box wouldnt matter to me as long as the pen was in good condition with a good price!

A regular Ballpoint starwalker / meisterstuck refill will likely fit the pen. What you can do to find out is get a monteverde refill from a staples or office supply store (just because you can return it). This will allow you to test the size and then figure out what you need for the future.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
