This is an Aluminum Body, Fountain Pen and Rollerball set. The nib says "Iridium Point, W Germany", and appears to me a Fine. No other identifying marks or labels. Except for the curved clip, it has a Lamy-like" look and feel. Thoughts?

They also exist with a black body. Must have one or two around. These are pens that go in the (fairly) cheap circuit of advertisement items.

 

"someone" must make them, but who???

 

I have written with mine many years ago. It writes well enough. Just standard international cartridges.

Saw mine recently in my drawer with cheap nonames.

They also come in a ballpoint/mechanical pencil variant, but in the shops there is no maker specified.

And apparently the close resemblance of Lamy is not just a random coincidence. Seems like they either do some work for Lamy too, Have knockoff (complete with Lamy logo) or this is a copied picture from somewhere:

I was just this morning looking at my roller-ball version of that pen I got handed at some event, thinking "this is a pretty cool pen for a cheap giveaway, I wish it came it a fp." Glad to know it does.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
