Hard to believe there has been no response to this announcement, Syd. Maybe, like me, folks are trying to avoid temptation by not checking out the Market Watch forum! (I probably shouldn't be here now.... )

The pens look lovely, especially the 100 Year pens. The Skyscraper has a bit too much 'bling' for my tastes, but I think the blue and gold look very nice together. And it is wonderful that you have designed a piston filler instead of another C/C pen. Kudos to you!

The Skyscraper is listed as 'coming soon' on your website, but there is no mention there of the 100 Year pens. (Are they only available at the shows?) I imagine they are way out of my reach, but would you give us an idea of price range for your new pen models?

I have been using my Black and Pearl 100 year pen for about a week now - extremely impressive.

The piston filler is the most polished I've felt to date, the exceptional uptake and tightness is masked by the smooth turn and action of the filler.

The smoothness of the nib right out of the box is also worth noting in buttery contact and no discernible fault in action at all; i.e., hard start, only performing in a single angle, singing. My specific nib has a slightly heavy flow for me but it is even and true.

Highly recommend,

M.

I have come late to the party, so to say.

I did not see prices for thes beauties.

What is the Ballpark price for these?

And I saw a few months back talk about a blue version. Has that been abandoned?

Nice.

Will you have them at the San Francisco pen show?

Interesting design choices.

Well, I was going to say that I feel that the coloured versions detract from the original cap design, taking it even further away from the industrial-streamline moderne blend.[1] However, looking at them a bit more I think the middle 'taffy' striped version retains some of the original elan (well it would if the gold section end was removed). The other two are a bit of a mishmash of competing ideas IMHO.

If I hadn't seen the originals then these new ones would no doubt attract, but... trying to re-imagine what was a near-perfect design... not really getting it. I'll pass.

Such are the vagaries of style and taste!

@chas0039

I believe you can have them swap nibs, for a price.

Send them an email and ask.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
