Pelikan Zippered Pen Pouches?

Tojusi

Recommended Posts

So, has anyone been using the zippered leather pen pouches that can be found on the Pelikan website? Please share your experiences - are they any good, what size pens fit (too small, too large for the pouch), even brands other than Pelikan...

I obtained one for less than the advertised price. My M1000 fits with no trouble so I would think that they are suitable for most pens. Beautyfully made complete with soft outer case. I question whether they are worth the asking price but, compared to a MB case, they are a snip. I am sure others will come forward with their thoughts.

I really fancy the yellow one but the price is so darn high. The cheapest that I've found is $120 on eBay which is ridiculous for what it is. Still, I really really want one.

It's really cool and reminds me of the cases I see often with vintage 100s and 400s, but that brass zipper scares me...

I have an original case as well as the new one. The leather of the original seems to be of a higher quality but, against that, the new one is bigger and the zip seems more substantial. Both good cases but the prices of the new ones are way over the top.

Nice, kawuska! It manages to reproduce the pen-in-pocket effect. The new ones are sadly overpriced for me too, but I'd love to see more

photos of pens in the new pouches if people have some eye candy...

In Santiago, Chile, there is only one place you can buy the new zipped cases. And they only have one color... Red. I got mine as christmas gift last year. At first I did not like the color, but it is wonderful to keep your pens safe. The price was about U$70, because the owner of the store got them at a very good price. It came with a little and very smooth "velvet like" fabric bag. So, I Carry the pens on the case and the case in the little bag. I like it very much. I like it more than the two pen cases with the strap.

The bigest pen I have is a Souverän M600. It is perfect for it, but I think you can carry an M800 or M1000 because there is a plenty of room.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
