Twbi 580Rb - Buy Now Or Wait For American Model?

Hi all,

 

I'm still kinda new, but can't help but notice that lots of people love TWSBI products for their value and coolness. There's a huge buzz about the "return" of the 580RB, and I'm excited myself. I always liked the look of the 540ROC and thought I "missed it" based on when I came into pens.

 

Now there's talk and drawings on the TWSBI facebook page about an Amercian end-jewel, which I like. The tradition star is cool-looking too.

 

Based on TWSBI history, how "safe" is it to wait on the American model. I think I would only like it slightly better and don't want to miss out on getting a pen of this model/coloring.

Well. The TWSBI 580 aluminium version has been almost in production for about 3 years now..so...I think you'll be waiting a while haha. Although the end jewel shouldn't take that long to perfect, but just letting they are meticulous - which leads to a very long development time.

 

My advice - just buy the current version. By the time the new version comes out, you'll probably have saved enough to buy the new one as well.

 

EDIT: Oh, I see this is not a new up and coming model, so disregard the above. Too many model numbers to keep track of .

I still vote you just buy the 580 while you wait though

I emailed TWSBI and they responded about a month or so.
