In 2012, the model chosen was the Pearl. In 2013, it was a Morgan. I am hoping that the 2014 model will be a Collier or Mina. :D

Can anyone tell us what were the materials chosen in 2012 and 2013?

Thanks...

I thought I would definitely be up for this, but now I've seen and fallen in love with the Summer 2014 Edition of the Edison Nouveau Premiere I'm not so sure.  Won't be able to afford both that's for sure. Decisions, decisions.

Hmm, missed that before.  Very tempting.

Use the search function, Luke. AKA "let me google that for you".

Sorry for disturbing you, mrcharlie... as a "newbie" I am not aware of all the do's ans dont's of this place...

But wait... The whole point of being a member of this kind of forum is to talk to other people, right ?

Otherwise we could all stay all by ourselves on our corner of the planet googling on our own...

Thanks anyway...

If an extended Mina it is, may I suggest three or four material choices?
1) acrylic
2) ebonite
(What had been done until now)
3) celluloid/Lucite
4) urushi

Would that be within possibilities? Of course, I understand an urushi would take more time to produce.

It looks like they did a Special Edition in 2012 too much work for a big order, but so lovely: http://edisonpen.com...-Urushi-Project

Usually, yes. But why not something different this time?

Yes, but this was a regular Mina. I don't know how many Edison are sold each time, but I would be surprised that the order for a urushi would be more than 20ish something.

But of course this is not up to me but to Mr Gray.

The urushi Minas were $850 a pop. Not sure how big a group you'd get in on a group buy for that kind of price point...

A Morgan Grande would be very tempting with roughly the girth and length of the Huron Grande.

I've been circling a Collier for a few months now, but have yet to take the plunge and buy my first Edison. I'm glad I came across this thread now - will wait until the group buy pen is known.

(to be clear: I am definitely interested and will keep watching this thread.)

I hope a translucent swirl color will be offered. Like you said in one of your videos, that really distinguishes a milled pen from one that is casted. Plus, the translucent swirl colors are amazing!

Double-ended Mina, please! Very translucent acrylic would be awesome, too - no ink window needed.

The week is running out...

Ooops, looks like there has been a change. The group buy won't be happening until aft the DC pen show. Check the note on the website.

Yep, sorry everyone, but we are already burning the candle at both ends being post-vacation and pre-DC Pen Show!  :(

We'll have this announced the week of the 11th.  My apologies!
