Watch " The Pen's Price Is Right!" Show

Ok, so I've mentioned this before but I was sending ThomasB a message and chuckled out loud on The Pen's Price is Right! :D

His ID on Fleabay is TBickiii. Get to an item of his and Save him as a seller. Then you can go to Sellers You Follow on your watch page and click on See Seller's items and all of Thomas's stuff will be on one page. While there are a few other good pen sellers on The Bay, Thomas is the only one I know who loads ALL of his pens in to close at the same time each week.

He has all of his pens close on Sunday night around 8:30 PM Eastern time. There's usually about 3-5 minutes between each item and when one ends you just go to the next item. He usually has around 12 pens close.

Now of course, the game is to guess the close price closest without going over.

I genuinely have a damn fun time with it Every Sunday. (Except for the couple three weeks when Thomas takes a break. ;) )

It's also really educational too. Thomas has great listings and uber great pics so you get a good view of the pen and relevant info about it. You get some good exposure to how certain pens were usually fitted out.

Give it a try and have some fun while learning about the pens and pen market.

Thanks for the kind words...I do need a break every once in a while  ...So, just to prepare yourself, I will not be listing pens on 6/1 as the family will be heading to beach for some much deserved down time...Will be back listing though on 6/8

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
