Some fellow FPN members requested more pics of my new bag.

So I made some pics of it and the topic will be closed with a written mini review with the new Meisterstück Permanent Grey ink.

Hope you will like it.

That's a smart looking bag! Love the M motif, the same M I see on my nibs. :)

I also like that it is designed to take the elements. I hope you enjoy it every day.

That's actually a pretty attractive bag (and most the mfr branded ones don't usually catch my fancy).

+ 1, but I'm sure the price will kill the thrill.

So these bags really selling for north of 800-900 USD?

Not sure of the price ( which perhaps be considered a confidential matter), but there are many nice pens far above that range that members buy, and after a certain point, it's nice to buy something other than a pen. :)

:P I'm sure, just a little fazzled because I do own a vintage Montblanc, but it only cost me $50 :P

The Retailprice in Europe is EUR 745,-

Yes, it is quite some money. It is a daily essential, so divided by all the workingdays to come it is ok... :D

If you try to find a penpouch from MontBlanc for three pens your only choice will be the Sienna pouch  B)

Bit out of topic sorry but like your Asus Ultrabook

Thank you.

Yes I like my ultrabook a lot. It has a i7 dualcore and 256 GB SSD.

On the road I can work with a full battery 5-6 hrs.

:P He should get a Montblanc laminate skin for it :P

Hahaha...

Some would think I would, but I also like the products OEM.

Remove the pattern and the snowflake and you got something you can get for under $200 easy (probably no more than 80-150) with the same level of craftsmanship and such. So for a daily essential, least in my mind set that's about $700 overpriced, where as the pen side of things, I could justify the same price tag easier.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
