To go with the Lamy LE Neon Coral Safari, it looks like they are releasing Neon Coral cartridges, too!

Yes - they're shown in this video:

I really like this Safari.

Franklin-Christoph, Italix, and Pilot pens are the best!
Iroshizuku, Diamine, and Waterman inks are my favorites!

Apica, Rhodia, and Clairefontaine make great paper!

My inner girl says, "oh, that's purty..." But then, the rest of me would love any new Safari. :)

PIF Coral Safari? Wow!

Wrong side of the pond here. Very nice pIF!

Disliked the Barbie pink pen, and, avoided the neon yellow = too much yellow Burnout...

Given up on the terra/vanna, so I thought my journey with Safari was successfully at an end...

The one color that would nudge me would be this shade of: Coral.

We'll see after tax time.

Are they selling what I suspect will be my first Lamy here in the USA? Of course, it will have to come with my first Lamy ink cartridges.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

I wonder if Lamy will sell bottled Coral ink.

awww, that's so nice. I sort of think PIF's ought to be an encouragement for new ones, or those that have had challenging first experiences. More so when it's a solid, basic pen like Safari. - To which, I admit being very old. ; )

Hmmm... Matching ink would be a reason to buy this pen. A matching ink for last years neon yellow would be nice too ;)

I'm now VERY tempted to get that Safari, just for the matching ink. I have an unused Lamy Vista here, however, that's telling me no. The shape of the section doesn't work with my grip.

You could always try a different Lamy, like the Logo. :) No triangular section, but you can still use Lamy carts.

They said they expect them to arrive today and I just ordered some. They are very nice people to deal with! The cartridges are less expensive but the shipping is a bit high. If you order enough it all evens out, though.

The ink I plan to get is the Diamine Coral ink to go with the Lamy Neon Coral pen.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
