Return Of The Conway Stewart 100

Just received Mary's email announcing the release of a new CS 100 LE in Pistachio resin (60 pens), which is (not surprisingly) gorgeous. The LE is available as cartridge/converter only. The announcement says that the CS 100 will be back in the regular line in several colors, and I'm wondering if they will also only be available as cartridge/converter. Anyone have any info on this - or if you're out there, Mary, could you let us know? Thanks.

Most prized pens in my collection: Pelikan M910 Toledo LE (Historical Art Release w/Travel Ecritoire); Omas Paragons (Arco Brown, Arco Green LE, Blue Royale, Scarlet, Blue Senape LE); Omas Ogiva Demonstrators (All 4 Versions); Parker Duofold Cloisonne Mandarin Yellow LE; Pelikan M800's (Black w/14K nib, Blue Striated, Demonstrator w/Labels, Tortoiseshell); Pelikan Cities Series San Francisco FP & RB

Hi there!

I am pleased to hear that you received our newsletter. In addition to the 60th Anniversary LE, Conway Stewart will soon be launching the Model 100 in three new colours as a regular edition, all with converter cartridge filling mechanism.

Warmest regards,

Mary Burke

Thanks, Mary. Thought you might make a lever-fill available, as on the CS 58. I'm assuming you can't reveal what the colors will be yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I reckon three of the following: black, green, blue & red. Like the recent 58. If so, I'm glad I got mine when I did, at the last reissue.

Wish I had gotten one then, too, but I was too late to that party. At least I did get a 58 from the previous release in Autumn, which is one of my favorite users. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

And I certainly hope with the option of a CS Italic nib!

Hopefully,

Love this new addition and almost pulled the trigger, but in the end I do not like the anniversary script around the band as I am unsure

if I will like it so much after some years have passed. Which is also why I never got a tattoo ;-0)

However. looking forward to the new 'regular' releases with anticipation!

Cheers,

Tadeyev

Hi,

Although the official colours have not been released for the regular edition 100 series, I can advise that there will be black, but as far as for the other two colours are concerned, they will not be the same as the re-launch of the 58 series.

Warmest regards,

Mary Burke

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
