Wow. That blue looks to be striking with the silver inlay.

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)

If I'd known that they were going to release this as a standard version I wouldn't have jumped on the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition one last year.

It's a lovely pen though.

You might want to correct the title.

"DELTA" Divina somehow doesn't feel right :)

I made confusion, sorry. I'm trying to change the title but the Edit option allows me to change only the content, who can help me?

I'd suggest you to send ghost plane a PM, she's most likely able to help you.

Btw wonderful pens, drooling over the brown one myself.

Wow, love them both! Wish I hadn't used up my whole years pen budget on two other pens!

  • 2 weeks later...

I just got the blue one oversize and I love it!

The palladium F nib stays true to its "dreamtouch" denomination. Only problem some hard starts fro time to time.

For the moment I am using Pilot Iroshizuku ama-iro. I will try with different inks and report.

Regards

Ugo

The blue one is stunning. A chance as well to get a special Divina. . Comes in april so there is time to safe some money for it.

A couple of years ago I chose a MBWE instead of the LE (brown) Divina Proporzione. I couldn't lay hands on that one ever since. :(

Question: Are the nibs the same size in medium sized fountain pen and the oversized fountain pen and the only difference is the size of the pen bodies and caps? Thanks for any info anyone can provide

I think the midi comes with a smaller nib. I have three Divina pens, two oversize and a midi. All of them are at my office as we speak, tomorrow I'll be more specific unless someone else comes with a firmer reply.

No, the medium size mounts a small nib, like the new Van Gogh or the Rembrandt.

(But Van Gogh and Rembrandt have steel nib, while the Divina has a 23 Kt palladium, I was speaking only about same size)

I have a Divine Proportion, which I think was the first with the general design; I also have a Black Divina, which I believe was the next one. Both are wonderful writers, but I've not been ecstatic about the Black's filling system (it's been to Italy and back, and it's working all right at the moment). The other day, I saw a new one, but it doesn't quite match what all of you are commenting on; it was red, otherwise almost identical in appearance to my Black D. Of course, I couldn't judge size as it was not shown with anything to compare to. I just can't recall where I saw it, only that it was a seller's website.

The pearl brown looks nice, but perhaps, since the Divine Proportion is brown, I would rather go for the blue, which is absolutely beautiful. Probably can't afford it at the moment, but it is certainly going to the top of my list for future must haves.

Maybe it's the same nib used in the HS steel medium which has a 23kt palladium one?

I probably is.

Oh my... the brown looks like a luscious dark chocolate. That may be problematic.

Both are beautiful. :)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
