awesome now i need to figure out how to blunt tip my gf needles we cant figure out how to discard

I am sorry but I can't quite follow this remark??

What have the needles to do with a converter?

i have access to a bunch of 1ml needles that i can recap if i can blunt them it could make it easier to fill them exactly or to clean my pen

I have some syringes with separate needles, but I left them sharp.

I have no problem with that. But I hardly use them.

 

With a converter you don't need them, as you can fill the converter through the nib, which is actually good for the pen as it cleans the nib and feed. Also you can stick the converter in the ink and refill that way.

 

Only if you want to refill the cartridges (is that what you meant in your first post?) a needle and syringe are handy.

 

If you really want to blunt the needle I would use a Dremel or such tool.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
