I haven't yet tried it on the great paper collection, but I have never really been able to capture sheen. I either don't have the right paper or I'm just not using the right pen (or some combo). So far, I'm sheenless.

I love this color but think I would only use it for a deep and profound love letter.

 

I would love to see that! If it's deep and profound love it letter from me it will say: "I love you" no other additives, superlatives or preservatives.

Thanks for your review. You write that this is a red-orange ink but on my screen it just looks red, which is a plus. It's so difficult to manufacture an authentic red ink, there's even some topics about it on this website.

Patrick, I guess I would say it's a wonderful bright red. I think Poppy is one of the truest reds. Diamine Matador appears more true red but I agree that it's tough to find a true red.

And I think a lot of reds tend more towards blue reds or even gasp pink.

 

Heck Momiji is supposed to be an orange red and I think it's pink.

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
