We're back from the Ohio Pen show in Columbus. We had a great time visiting with folks and looking at pens, and didn't get to bed before 12:30 three nights out of four. The only reason we got to bed early on Sunday was that we knew that we had to get up at 5 the next morning. :rolleyes:

A regular client has opined that we often list some interesting pens the week after a show. This one is no exception. A bunch of really nice pens, some with custom ground nibs, and a couple of mahogany (as in solid, not plywood folks) pen cases that I used in the early days of collecting. You'll find the pens and more on our web site starting on the main Pen Sales page... Do go over and take a gander when you get the chance!

Ron, nice selection! I love that Parker Athenes. Beautiful pen. Ummm, Christmas is right around the corner.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy.       I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
