Our stock is due, on time on Monday the 2nd of December. We will dispatch all the orders over Monday and Tuesday. Thank you for all your support on the new additional colours of the Parson's. MrPen

Great, I ordered a Burgundy PE with Medium Cursive Stub a couple of days ago after sitting on the fence for a while ( ) and now I am looking forward to getting it. Since I can really only afford one order this month I have mixed up a batch of Montblanc Deep Dark Burgundy (my special brew) in anticipation.

Waiting for the mail from London – Again!

I already own, use every day, and love my Italix Captain’s Commission and Italix Originalis fountain pens. Certainly, with these two pens I don’t need another fountain pen. So, why did I order the Parson’s Essential today? Trying to convince myself that I have a good reason for this purchase, the only excuse I can find is that: I’ll be Happier with it than without it!  I guess that will just have to do.

My new Burgundy Parson's Essential has arrived. It has a beautiful finish with a subtle lustre to the lacquer finish. It's gorgeous.

Here's a pic. I've focused on the barrel rather than the nib to try to show the colour. Apols for quality, used my phone camera.

Agree.  It is gorgeous!  Which nib did you get?

Franklin-Christoph, Italix, and Pilot pens are the best!
Iroshizuku, Diamine, and Waterman inks are my favorites!

Apica, Rhodia, and Clairefontaine make great paper!

I got a conventional Fine as I already have 3 other P.E.s with cursive stub and italic nibs.

Wow, like I really needed to be introduced to another pen. I see a number of folks from the U.S. have ordered these. I may have to give one of these a try. Love that burgundy Essential!

Good to receive a shipping notice. I hope that one of you folks in the UK who will get your pens very soon can post some pics for those of us who have to wait for international shipping to deliver our pens.

The ferryboat arrived today in my small Alaska town. In the midst of a white-out blizzard it brought my new Parson's Essential from London. Thank you Mr. Ford!  What a nice surprise on this stormy day.

Hi everyone

A bit sacrilegious I know, but we have decided to introduce matching ballpoint pens for the Parson's Essential in black and the burgundy. The pens will take the Parker style refill both standard and gel. The pens are superbly engineered with all brass gearing and should last several lifetimes. £21.62 plus VAT (where applicable) or just £16.62 when bought with a fountain pen. They arrive on the 14th of March. MrPen

We are looking for some really nice decorative image shots for the MrPen website. They must feature one or more of Italix branded pens. Full credit will be given to the photographer of any images used. A theme of a month ( June to December) would be interesting but any great image would be acceptable. We may wish to add some wording to overlay on the image. We would like the free rights to use the image, more than once if we wish to, but the copyright is accepted as the property of the photographer. The image should be the property of the person submitting it. For every image used, we will give a 'Captain's Commission' fountain pen, 'Churchman's Prescriptor' fountain pen or 'Parson's Essential' Fountain and Ballpoint pen set. The pen chosen can be fitted with any specific nib and can be any colour that we have available. We will send the winner's pens to any global location.

I would like to pretend that this is just simply a competition but the truth is we are not really as good as we would like to be at product display and images, so your help will be appreciated. MrPen

Very clear and helpful, Mr. Ford. I haven't cleaned my Essential yet, and I wasn't sure if it was a friction fit nib. But now I am!

Thanks for the video. I subscribe to the channel on YouTube and having just received a Parson's Essential on Saturday it was very welcome to see the guide to cleaning it pop up in my YouTube subscription feed.

I'm absolutely loving the pen with it's oh so smooth medium cursive stub nib. It's spoiling me now though for any pens with lesser finished nibs though. I'm loving the finish on this pen too. Very unlike any others I've experienced so far. Substantial with a reassuring heft, but smooth and shiny as glass.

We are going to introduce to our range two new models, these are up market premium quality that will compete with pens costing around £500 ($800 USD). We will add the lines at the end of July. No pictures yet, but will show here when available. They are:

'Italix Imperium State' with 18k solid gold two tone nib medium at £169 inc VAT or £141 (export) about $232 USD. Italic version with stainless steel two tone in our usual variety of nib types at just £89 inc VAT or £74 (export) about £122 USD. This pen if offered by a premium brand would be sold at about £380 or $627 USD. Des: Large weighty fountain pen, sprung clip, screw cap, all brass with diamond cut high gloss lacquer finish. Gold nib pens are grey lacquer, the others are plain black lacquer.

'Italix Vipers Strike' with 18k solid gold medium nib (no italic options to start with) at £95 inc VAT or £79 (export) about $130 USD. This pen if offered by a premium brand would be sold at about £175 or $288 USD. Des: Slim (ish) pen with textured black barrel, polished bright work, 18k gold nib.

Ah, a revamped revamped website. Better this way as the sliders did not work.

On the new pens, what are the nibchoices? I see possibilities to buy ink, but no nib choice is indicated.

Thanks

The Vipers Strike and the Imperium State 18k are solid gold nib pens and are only offered (initially) as a standard medium. The Imperium State black is offered with our usual variety of italic nibs. Sorry about the previous (very short lived) website but the sliders did not operate on some browsers, so we have returned to the side index. The website is wider and product listings less cluttered.

We have had a change of mind and we have introduced, with immediate effect, all the italic nib options using a plated two tone nib unit.
