I like to write two pangrams as test phrases.

Sphinx of black quartz, hear my vow.
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

Cheers

Always this:

"En un lugar de la Mancha, de cuyo nombre no quiero acordarme, no ha mucho tiempo que vivía un hidalgo de los de lanza en astillero, adarga antigua, rocín flaco y galgo corredor."[/size]

Me too !!!

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank
check made payable to  The United States of America. For an
amount of up to and including my life. That is Honor, and there are way too many in this country who no longer understand it.

I made my own pangram "The quick frightening anomalocaris zipped by the juvenile wiwaxia."(I'm a prehistory nerd, it's based on animals during the cambrian period) based off of the "quick brown fox". For a wetness test, I use the word "minimum".

If the radio or TV is on or someone is talking, I usually write what I hear. Otherwise, my go-to phrase is the pangram "Foxy diva Jennifer Lopez isn't baking my quiche" because if I leave my scribble lying around, it confuses the hell out of the person who finds it.

I just write my name few times and scribble random words that I'm learning at school.

Like others, I tend to write the maker and model of the pen, along with my signature.  Some times I will add the the last line from the "The End" by the Beatles:  "And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make."

I was looking at some of my notebooks. I, too, often write the make and model of pen, what nib and the ink, if I know it. I, too, often write the first few lines of Jabberwocky.

I also write, If happy little bluebirds fly, above the clouds, then why oh why can't I?

Cob,

Americans and Brits have more in common than we may realize. Mr. Hood has pretty much described our entire winter here in NEW England.

I cannot say I am surprised, but I do think that Mr Hood could have made a splendid job of dreary January and soggy February too.
