of all my recent ebay finds, this is the one that i've been using the most, very much a keeper and a user: the bexley-made woodgrain duofold centennial. i love the warmth of the ebonite, and the faceting is exquisite:

of all the modern parker nibs ever made, i consider the "banner" nib the most beautiful of them all, and it was used on this bexley:

i've seen this pen offered on the pentooling.com site for $450, and i was lucky to get it for considerably lower than that.

Fantastic pen, penmanila, and a great catch on ebay :)

Currently using:Too many pens inked to list, I must cut back! :) I can guarantee there are flighters, urushi, and/or Sheaffer Vac-fillers in the mix!!!

nice pen ;)

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy.       I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
